Kollywood actress Namitha’s ‘Jagan Mohini’ was launched at a glittering function in Madurai in which M K Azhagiri, son of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi took part.
N K Viswanathan, who had cranked the camera for several movies besides directing a few films, will direct Namitha soon. The heroine plays a prominent role in the movie titled ’Jagan Mohini’. Touted to be a horror film, the movie is inspired by Vittalacharya’s movie that had the same title about two decades ago. ’Jagan Mohini’ featured Jayamalini as the lead star.
The director, a keen supporter of DMK, hails from Madurai. Therefore he chose to hold the movie’s muhurrat in Madurai with Azhagiri participating. South Indian Film Chamber president KRG, Tamil Film Producer Council president Rama Narayanan, actor Raja, Namitha, Producer Anbalaya Prabhakaran among others took part in the celebrations. The shooting took place at Thirumalai Naicker Mahal.
