When Katrina was fourteen years old she meet an agent and with the help of that agent she started her modeling . She got the first chance as an ambassoder for jewelery presentation. She continued modeling in London under a contract with the models 1 Agency.
KhaizadGustad was one of the director in Bollywood gave a chance to Katrina in his film Boom has model in the year 2003 . After getting chance in movies Katrina moved to Mumbai . There she got a number of offers in modelings roles .Many of the directors hesitate to take Katrina as a heroine because she couldn’t speak Hindi. In the year 2005 katrina got a success for the movie “Sarkar” that to she played a small role has Abhishek Bachan’s girl friend . Katrina’s second movie as heroine in “Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya” which was realesed in the year 2005 .In this movie she acts with Salman Khan and recived an Stardust Breakthrough Performance Award .
In the year 2007 Katrina appeared in the hit movie “Namastey London” .In this movie she acts as a British Indian girl with Akshay Kumar .And this is the second movie with Akshay Kumar .Her first movie with him is “Humko Deewana Kar Gaye” in the year 2006. She appeared in a number of movies and got box office hits that includes “Apne” , “Partner” , “Welcome” .
In the year 2008 she played a very negative role in the movie “Race” which was directed by Abbas Mustan. In movie she acts very differently .She played a role with hero Saif Ali Khan’s as secretary and she was secrectly fell love with saif’s step brother Akshay Khanna
Katrina’s second realeased movie in the same year was “Singh is Kinng” directed by Anees Bazmee’s .He was also a writer .In this film she acts opposite to Akshay Kumar. This film was a big success at the box office . And the third realease movie in the same year was “Yuwraaj” directed by Subhash Ghai. He is not only the director and also producer and screen writer . But this movie didn’t reach upto his expectations and also he got big loss.
In the year 2009 the movie “New York” directed by Kabir Khan . Katrina acts with John Abraham . And this movie was a critical and commercial success in the end of 2009. Famous critic writer Taran Adarsh appreciated about Katrina in his writing as “Katrina gives you the biggest surpise .Know for her glamour roles .Katrina can proves herself in any roles .If the director and writer offer her any role of substance she can deliver it in different styles . She was the outstanding actress. She can act any type of roles given to her . In future people will see a new and different Katrina .In the movie “Blue” Katrina played a very important role .And this movie popularly known as India’s first thriller movie which became a very success movie of katrina’s of this year

In the year 2008 katrina was voted Asia’s Sexiest women by Eastern Eye and also the most popular and searched celebrity of 2008 of Google India . Katrina was also participating in the reality shows like 10 Ka Dum with Neil Nitin Mukesh for the promotion of her film New York .She also appeared in the singing talent show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa with Salman Khan to promote her film Yuwraaj. Katrina was selected as model for Mattel’s Bollywood Barbie which was released in sep 2009
